Yulia Desyatnikova, graduate of Stieglitz Academy, took the 2nd place at the first Design Olympiad for professionals
In December 2020, the Design Olympiad for professionals was held in St. Petersburg for the first time. The multi-modal event included an offline design competition at Tinkoff Arena and an online broadcast on the TV channel ′′St. Petersburg".
The project participants were asked to complete the competition task online, in a short time, in front of TV audience. Based on the results of the competition to develop an interior concept that meets the technical design specification of a symbolic client, the experts selected three winners. Yulia Desyatnikova, the graduate of the Stieglitz Academy, was awarded the 2nd place.
The completion was assessed by invited experts, designers: Andrey Ermolinsky, Jenny Yasnets, Natalia Smorgonskaya.
As part of an online broadcast for a wide audience, the organizers of the Olympiad, participants and invited experts discussed a wide range of issues: what are the criteria for assessing the professionalism of an interior designer, how to determine an adequate cost of a design project, what a professional designer should understand in addition to the direct specialization.
The organizers of the Design Olympiad in a new format are Vladimir Shevchenko, director of the Newmedia communications agency, and Svetlana Chusovskaya, producer. Sergei Gorchaninov, Associate Professor of the Chair of Interior and Equipment Design of the Stieglitz Academy, took an active part in the arrangement of the event.
