Visit of the Chairman of the Saint-Petersburg Committee for the Development of Tourism
On November 18, 2020, the Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Tourism, Sergey Evgenievich Korneev, and Deputy Chairman, Nana Margushevna Gvichia, visited the Stieglitz Academy.
On the part of the Stieglitz Academy, the meeting was attended by the rector, Anna Nikolaevna Kislitsyna, the vice-rector for research, Tatyana Vyacheslavovna Kovaleva, the development manager, Yulia Nikolaevna Dasaeva, the head of the excursion bureau of the Educational Museum of Applied Arts of the Stieglitz Academy, Ksenia Pavlovna Garmider, and the head of the additional education department, Ekaterina Vladimirovna Onishina. The Stieglitz Academy was also visited by the Chief of the office of the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg, Maxim Sergeevich Mulyukin, and the curator of the Innovations and Youth Initiatives Fund, Ekaterina Arkhipova.
The meeting participants discussed the prospects for cooperation in order to strengthen interaction between the Stieglitz Academy and the Committee for the Development of Tourism of St. Petersburg. The issues of including the Academy's intra-academic and city-wide events, such as the Stieglitz Design Days festival, into the activity calendar of the Committee were discussed. Possibilities to develop various educational programs, including museum pedagogy on the basis of the Educational Museum of Applied Arts of the Stieglitz Academy, as well as the promotion of existing programs and excursion tours were discussed. The additional education department of the Stieglitz Academy held a presentation of a wide range of master classes, which are traditionally of great interest to tourists visiting St. Petersburg.
During the visit to the Stieglitz Academy, the guests of the university were presented with a multimedia exhibition project "Creativity and Renovations", implemented jointly by the chairs of artistic textiles and interior and equipment. Also, the Committee’s representatives got acquainted with the workshops of the chairs of monumental and decorative painting, painting and restoration, book and easel graphics, ceramics and glass, and visited the permanent exhibition of the Educational Museum of Applied Arts of the Stieglitz Academy.
